Scott Wallant, Principal, AIA, graduated from Yale University in 1974 and received a Master of Architecture degree from the Yale School of Architecture in 1978.  He apprenticed in New Haven before locating to New York to join the internationally renowned Philip Johnson in New York City.  After returning to practice in Fairfield County, Connecticut, he moved to the Albany area to start his own firm in 1989.

Stephen Janenka, Associate, Project Manager, received his Bachelor of Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1982 and for many years ran his own design/build business.  Mr. Janenka has managed a number of complex and carefully detailed projects at Wallant Architects. Lauri Hyatt, Associate, Project Manager, received a Bachelor of Building Science in 1982 and a Bachelor of Architecture in 1983 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Ms Hyatt managed projects at a number of other local firms before joining Wallant Architects, where she is also in charge of AutoCAD production. Both Mr. Janenka and Ms. Hyatt have been with the firm since 1997.

A growing portfolio of unique commercial and high end residential projects has helped Wallant Architects become known for lively and thoughtful design that draws on a deep appreciation of historical tradition, as well as for a strong commitment to detail, drawing and administration.  Wallant Architects’ designs have appeared on the covers of Builder Magazine and Hudson Valley Magazine, and have received design awards from the American Institute of Architects.
